| What do you mean "everybody rips off "?.Your heros Green Day and other poser bands had the blueprint..but the Kinks didnt. No blue print on Dave Davies guitars eithers....putting screw drivers in amps to get distortion..that sh*t was friggin trailblazing....they were the originals.....have fun playing your lifted riffs...lol |

| You might be interested in a short lived controversy- The Who began for all intents and purposes as a Kinks clone- Producer Shel Talmy felt he did not get enough credit for his work with the Kinks and quickly left and crafted the Who for rock/pop radio. When "I can see for Miles" broke Ray was infuriated at what he thought was a rip off of the sound "he" had pioneered. So if you ask Ray, I am sure he would say that the Who souind like the Kinks, not the other way around. |
